Watch your Words.. They say.
But how many times I have ended up in a soup for just using the wrong words... Innumerous.
Personally I have lost friends, ended up embarrassed, put others in difficult situations and totally goofed up.
This is one comical situation which I am writing. I know each one of you must have landed in similar goof ups because of the wrong word, but old habits die hard.
My Friend and I visited his sister's place who were about to go for summer vacation.
My Friend, His Sister and Brother in Law welcomed us and we were seated on the Sofa.
Their cute 5 year old son Vishnu was playing alone in the side with his toy.
I asked him "So Vishnu Where are you going with your parents?"
He said "Bombay."
I chided him "I think Vishnu, Mummy and Papa are going to search a girl for you and get you married in Bombay".
Everybody was Smiling cheekily expecting a surprise on vishnu's face.
He seriosly and nonchalantly replied. "No Uncle, If Mummy and Papa wanted to marry me, they don't have to go to bombay. My Classmate 'rajani' is willing to marry me."
We all were Nonplussed and looking at each other. Understanding the gravity of situation we all had a hearty laugh.
I couldn't react immediately on what vishnu said.
Addressing bro-in-law I mentioned "See Vishnu has saved you the trouble of finding a daughter in Law."
Bro-In-Law quipped "See he is already smarter than you all. At this age of 5 itself is like this.. by the time he is your age. I hate to think what wonders he is going to do..."
It was amusing to us all.... but inside somewhere I knew... I had goofed up.
